Believing that it is vital that the leaders of tomorrow develop peaceful problem solving skills today, the North Texas Peace Learning Center is pleased to offer Peacemaker Day Camp. Each camp is a week full of fun, creative, and meaningful activities designed to help children develop the skills necessary to live a peaceful life. Throughout the week children learn and practice peaceful problem solving, leading, if desired, to peer mediation certification. In addition, each day focuses on a different set of positive life skills:
Monday: Peace for me….the importance of inner peace
Tuesday: Peace for us… daily relationships, cooperation, communication
Wednesday: Peace for everyone…justice and peace among communities
Thursday: Peace for the planet…planetary care and appreciation
Friday: Peace among nations…raising interpersonal peacemaking skills to the international level
